After being asked by lots of friends to write a list of all the
places I visit with the kids, I decided instead to do it on a blog so that I
can share it with a wider community of families who may also find it useful.
My name is Emily, I am a designer (you can check out my kidwear
trend and design blog here) and academic living in a small fenland village
called Isleham in the east of Cambridgeshire. I have two small
children called Alfred and Elsie, who at the time of commencing this blog in
January 2019 are aged 4 and two respectively.
While going through all the typical aches and pains all families
go through, sleepless nights, the nightmares of potty training, kid fights, food
phobias (I mean the list is endless!) I
do strive to get out and about and see and experience as much as I can with the
kids (and often the dog!) in tow.
On this little blog, in a far corner of the world wide web, I hope
to document and hopefully inspire others of fun things to get out and do in
rural East Anglia and beyond!
While some activities may even be free or on a total shoestring –
others may be more of a splurge. I will
tag all the activities to help you find what might work for you!
